right, but it has to be a filter rule configured for the folder. in order
to use the feature at present, i need to turn off the check mail features
so no new mail will get processed while the filter is assigned to the
folder, assign the filter to the folder, select and filter, then deassign
the filter before turning mail checking back on.

a simpler way of setting this up would be useful.
