Jessica, thanks for the quick reply. I restarted Mailplane but the problem persists. Should the silent update give me a new build number? I'm still at "2.5.8 (#1690)."
One important new piece of information: I'm only seeing the problem on one of my three Gmail accounts. This suggests a Gmail configuration issue rather than a Mailplane bug, but keyboard shortcuts are enabled in all accounts and I don't see any other relevant options.
