Following up on my initial observation that I couldn't get through to the site on my Mac, I can report that I just tried my wife's Mac and was able to get through to the site and see the very nice images available there. (Once I agreed to allocating more memory.) So it appears that John's diagnosis, that the problem is not with Macs in general but depends on the particular configuration of the machine, hits the nail on the head.
