David,

Another two cents' worth suggestion:  Could it be that there is something wrong with your NAD 27 parameters, is there a false Easting or something similar, that wasn't allowed for?

Subject: MI 4.0 Relocate a grouping of polylines/polygons

I'm not sure how to ask this so grant me newbie license here.

Scenerio:

I just recieved an ArcInfo (or View e00) file containing numerous
polygons of varing area sizes.  The converter I used works fine
except for translating the field info, no problem there.  The file
imported as Non Earth Meters.  I reprojected at Lat/Long NAD 27 and
everything's fine with one exception.  The grouping of the polygons
are 5000 miles off to the east.

Ok, so I selected all the polygons and drug them to where they should
truely be, my question is . . .  How do I perform this more
accurately or is that possible?

Regards,
