I have the same $?#@ problem. This has been extremely frustrating in the
past.
I have tried running MI from different computers as well as
printers/plotters
but the labels are still coming out all over the place.
I also checked and double checked all my settings to verify if there was
some
reason that the labels were not plotted in the proper location. MI v4.0

Hey, MapInfo people what is going on here???

Subject: MI Labels not plotted in right place!!!!

Has anybody else had any problems with large layouts and labels moving
or disappearing?
I have a large layout (A1) with perhaps 500 point features all labeled
at 2pt offset above centre from the origin. When I plot the map, some
are directly above the point (correct) while others are slightly to the
left, others slightly to the right and some more are offset more than 2
while others are offset less than 2. This is a real pain when you are
trying to produce a professional looking map.
I have changed all settings and tried all combinations possible with no
joy. I am using NT4 and an HP DJ 750c plotter.
Is this a MI thing or a plotting problem? One place that I think MI
fails is its awful layout building tools, and I am sure that this is a
related problem.
Cheers
Tony
