Des Derwin is 100% right. I had many issues with Louis Proyect, who was self centered and allowed his emotions to run away with himself. But he never would have allowed this Putinist propaganda on this list. And make no mistake, that's what it is - Putinist propaganda. Baugher responded with a vague sounding statement. He should openly say: The present moderators do not agree with Proyect's approach and they have a different one.
Des is right on another point: The Putinized "left" has many, many platforms. Far more than Marxists do. Why should serious Marxists allow themselves to be used as yet another one? There have always been all sorts of differences among Marxists. But in effect defending a fascist connected world leader? That's not beyond the pale? Or are the moderators just trying to be popular within the left and what passes for the "left"?
