I think that class is the conditions one was raised in AND one's aspirations and expectations. These dialectically condition what class one identifies with. Thus Reagan or Nixon or JD Vance, but on the other side Engels and any number of us here who are objectively professionals, but who have tied our fate as much as practical to that of the working class.
