Hi, Lourdes. I was using the ident-masquerade.tgz package, but have
now installed and am successfully using oidentd-1.6.1 - thanks for the
pointer.

I am having trouble getting the -f (forward) parameter working - the
INSTALL says that it should be able to forward the ident requests to
the masqueraded client, and fall back to oidentd.users if the client
isn't running identd - but whenever I change inetd.conf to
auth stream tcp nowait nobody /usr/sbin/oidentd oidentd -i -m -f
I get the following messages back from the test server at
130.236.254.1:114

Connecting to Ident server at 209.30.246.236...
Querying for lport 61610, fport 114....

Parse error on reply:
                       "oidentd"
                                Session closed...

So I guess I'll be sending a bug report to odin, unless someone can
point out something I'm doing wrong.

Anyway, it's working well enough for now. Thanks again.

Cheers,
  Jon.
