Jonathan, we need very specific versions of our dependencies because these
dependencies have changed their commandline and functionality specs. While
it's unfortunate that we don't have pre-built packages, we just do not have the
resources to fix this. If you're interested in helping out, the install group
meets just before the normal dev meeting. Patches welcome, but for the moment
these scripts are staying put.
