The problem is that the epiphan driver does not notice a resolution change in
this case so no event will be thrown in gstreamer that could be caught. Even
under windows they seem to have this problem with their own software (at least
the last time I checked this).
I added Waldemar to watch this issue too, as he spent several days on a
soultion for this problem. I decided to buy a scaler now too...
