My results are less extreme. Under the classic Mac OS, I can sometimes 
break 1 Mbps on the bandwidth test over my cable modem. All browsers 
provide similar performance.

Under OS X, performance varies from under 600 kbps to about 800 kbps -- 
and it definitely varies depending on the browser I'm using, with iCab 
the slowest.

Hardware: PowerBook G4/400, 512 MB RAM, Mac OS X 10.2.3
