Hi, why isn't it sufficient to just tell people not to vote for their own apps?
Those who want to cheat can do so, anyway. There's imho no advantage in trying to enforce that rule. If you are in doubt, then just increase the number of votes limit by one and drop the author limitation at all. E.g. if you planned that something would need 5 votes with the authors vote being forbidden, then just make it 6 votes without any limitation.
