We have shared-signon throughout meego.com. A package will have come

This is not the same criteria what you wrote on the wiki page [1] :)

to include a clarification that "'Packagers/Authors/Maintainers' is a
term referring to the 'owner' of the project within OBS"

Cool, let's then add this clarification.

We can prevent this scenario, yes. I checked, that a home project name
_can not_ be altered by the owner using the OBS web UI. So we can
compare that against the logged_in_user. This is however not the same as
for checking authors, maintainers or even packagers :)

If this is easy, I suggest we do it. There's got to be some
identification of them anyway to allow the "owner" to promote further
or demote.

Yes, I will implement this.

We need to chat on how to do this.

I think the vote system should be returning the vote to the BOSS process and then the process should apply valid votes. This allows for other voting mechanisms to be introduced and means the logic is not tied to a web system (and changes don't need a redeployment). It also means that we can have an independent 'get metadata' task in the process that talks to the OBS (or maybe later talks to some other system).

I've been somewhat absent from c.OBS and Apps recently but hope to rectify that
:)
