(Ignoring the case at hand, forking the thread)

I personally don't see any reason why he would have to. An earth-near
explanation can be that he signed up for these lists before knowing
involvement at day zero, through the meego.com web interface when
signing up for an account and to his gmail to follow the activity.
meego-packaging subscriptions was added using our OBS accounts, which
most likely, have our corporate emails.

This is MeeGo. Your company affiliation does not make your opinions
more or less valid or invalid. We have a problem if we think like
this.

If you (Arjan) were writing using a @moocows.com e-mail, having the
merit you have and the position as Chief Architect, your domain name
does not affect the validity of your opinions. They're as is.

Frankly, it would all be easier if contributors with a role/commit bit
of MeeGo had a [email protected] mail address to drive this point
through.

I personally write using @maemo.org as that is part of the role I
have. It is actually through a gmail.com interface. Does this make my
mails less valid when I am using my real name? don't think so. I have
to stand for my opinions no matter what - I can participate
professionally and privately as it shouldn't matter here. My role and
merit should be what matters.

What should count is my merit, position and the validity of my
opinions or ideas. If I'm wrong in my opinions, it would be obvious by
feedback and replies counter-arguing my views.
