Not necessarily a completely inpendent solution, just something that plays

perhaps a bit more nicely with the rest of the OS. In case of Ubuntu, I
would,
for example, be happy to be able to use triggers on those updates, to
install the
NQS for all users without tweaking, having a proper relation between VCSs
and
QtCreator... that sort of stuff. Nothing major, just something that
minimizes the
itches.
