To get the 4 vertical bolts out you need a 17 mm ring spanner for the nuts which
are on top of the diff and another 17 mm ring spanner or socket for the bottom
of the bolts to stop them rotating when you try to crack the nuts on the top.
There isn't a lot of space to work with in there and the bolts can be very tight
so if they are that tight they are usually almost impossible to undo from
underneath. Also, if you have some eye protection so you don't get dirt in the
eyes as that really sucks when you're working underneath and looking up. Just in
closing the nuts on the top of the bolts undo anti-clockwise when you are
looking up from underneath the diff.
