Zac,

Thanks for the drive - good to get into something a little closer to what
Mr. Datsun originally created!

You've got me thinking now. I might just disconnect that rear bar and go for
a test thrash (when I get the I/C in and the steering all back together!).
I'm not sure if maybe my mind was playing tricks on me though, as your
G-grids have considerably more grip and much better turn in response than my
Toyos + the extra power of the turbo engine tends to help kick the tail out
too. I feel more comfortable with oversteer anyway - even though the
"experts" reckon understeer is safer.

Should be interesting to try them both out at the club day at the Mitsubishi
test track in May.

Subject: terry - my car again..!

Went around to Pete Liebig's place tonight to get his spring compressors,
but
of course ended up yakking away for ages then him taking a drive in my car
through
the local windies.

He reckons it is already setup pretty good, and pointed out I already have
negative
camber on my front. I don't think we worked out a reason for the understeer
but are confident that a bit extra front end camber will do the trick!

Shoulda seen him trying to prove my 'it doesn't oversteer' statement wrong!!
Still wouldn't, damn tyres just gripped!

Will have a shot at installing the strut tops tomorrow, then get an
alignment,
etc.

zac

btw, weber was fine on the way home Pete :)
