Subject: Re: DATSUN - That spring
again...
Terry, Just measured my bar and it is 80mm.
(someone may laugh at that, but I don't care).
I'll check the wreckers next
time i'm out tht way. They cleaned out all their crap a few weeks ago.
$10 entry to the yard, all you can carry. I
didn't find out until after it happened, but one of my mates
got an RX4 bumper, 2 leaf spring sets (rx4) and
a pair of volvo 4spot callipers.(He was in a hurry).Not too
bad for 10 bucks.
How well do street tyres handle the
punishment of (not too serious) circuit racing (mainly practice) &
motorkarna events ?
I ask this as I recently brought 4 185x60x14
Dunlop Formula W10's , all with atleast 50% tread, but the shoulders down to
the
indicators on 3 of them. (all for
$20).

P.S. Don't want to sound like a
brown tounge, but I hope everyone has a safe and happy easter.
Remember: Too much chocolate=Extra
weight=Decreased power/weight ratio.
Wayne,
The bar you have isn't of a Skyline that's for sure
as they have Type 1 (refer earlier post). If the diff is of a Skyline it will
be a R180 so to check this out measure the distance between the bottom bolts
on the rear cover and see if they are spaced 80 mm apart, if they are not let
me know what this measurement is. I'd be inclined to try and find another bar
as i don't like that one at all. The bars of the 510/610/240K/Skyline C210 are
interchangeable and a replacement should only cost $5, just check to see if
the bushes are in good shape on your selection. I'd be surprised if the
wreckers at Epson don't have a box of them lying about.
