Chris,
Have you tried to get the 4 shims out as Mick suggested, they sit at the top
of where the 4 long vertical bolts secure the diff to the x member between
the diff housing and the x member. When you get these out you should be able
to grab hold of the front of the diff where the tailshaft attaches and rock
it sideways to break the grip of what it locking it in the x member. Other
than that you may have to get someone to have a look at it for you as I'm
out of ideas on what the problem could be. Maybe a PO has welded the bugga
in there ):-

gooday i think there must be sumthing wrong her as ive done all these bolts
and yeah terry i even took the rear leaf off in the end as it wouldnt pull
out properly so i jacked it up pulled on it and the tailshaft started coming
out of the bak of the box, ive tried levering ive tried a lot it appears to
have seized in there is this possible?
