Rip the bluebird fuel lines out and stick in bigger & better ones, replace existing pump with a EFI pump. or 2. Leave it all there, install a surge tank in the engine bay to take about 1 litre of fuel from the standard pump, and install an auxillary pump which is capable of delivering from the surge tank.   I already own the auxillary pump so that is looking like to me to be a better option.
