Thats bad luck pete I hope the damage isn't too severe. Was it a 2 day meeting? Did u get it running for the sunday? What sort of tyres were u running (brand size etc)? What ratio diff were u running? Locked?? Hope u get it back together soon. Gotta keep the datto flag flying on the track!!! Shane Smith had a big lose at Leyburn yesterday. Halfway down the straight the lower control arm pivot bolt pulled out of the front cross member which he reckoned was pretty exciting.. I crashed the datto. Hit the Armco on the bridge and totaled the right hand rear quarter, rear door, front guard and by the looks of it the boot doesn't shut properly. Hit a patch of water coming flat out across the top of turn 1, slid sideways across the mush heading for the dam, (thought i was going swimming for a sec), corrected it and as i came back on the track slid across the other side and Wammo into the Armco. BUGGER Anyways, pulled out the rear quarter and checked the front end in the Scruttineering bay (of course) we managed to have another run. Now the problem is, the diff is too tall, has anybody in the South Eastern suburbs got a 4.9 or a 5.1 locked diff laying around that i could either buy or borrow????
