I have only ever had an adjustable pivot bolt break, which sent me into a
180km/hr u turn as it happened on a long straight in a Rally at Beerburrum
and I had just pulled 5th. Incredible that we walked away as the front of
the car dug in, we pivoted on the front passenger side corner, nearly going
end for end, and the car spun on its axis whilst the rear end was about 4
feet off the ground. We crashed back to terra firma still upright but
sliding backwards. It all happened so fast I was still pushing the throttle
down, so we slid backwards but the wheels were spinning to go forwards,
which slowed down the slide and we stopped against a bank.

I would advise never to use those eccentric bolts as we were just plain
lucky.

Regards
Brad
