terry
sorry for the delay..
No!! The blue one is dead!! Paul and I rebuilt it after u last saw it and
then about 2 months later he rearranged it again oops
Funny thing was it looked almost the same and as bad as the first time - and
it was a 4WD again... that car was jinxed i think..
I then got hold of Peter Phillips' old rally/sports sedan 1600 which is
yellow and has huge flairs and stuff.. Its a really cool car with lots of
good bits as well as all the good bits off the blue one. It has a 3 million
point roll cage and a very modified rear suspension cross member and
commonwhore discs on the back with my L20 twin weber engine and the close
ratio g/box and those 4 spots off the blue car. Its sort of a more complete
package now. I got some pics of it on Sunday when we went on the QLD cruise
up to Mt Tamborine (i'll write a report on that in a separate email).. I
will post the pics when i get em downloaded from the camera. Needless to say
I am thrilled with it as it goes really well and handles and stops
superbly.. I just gotta get some decent rubber on it before the weekend and
it should be very competitive.
Pitsworth Sprints is a similar setup to Leyburn in that it is a bitumen
sprint around closed roads in an industrial estate. I've never done
anything like this so it should be interesting and a lot of fun. Most of the
guys who did Leyburn will be there minus those who crashed or broke their
toys.. hehe. we should have the camera there so we'll get some shots and
post em here.
thats about all for now
cheers
Mick
