Guys.
It seems like there are a lot of sheep following eachother. Sure enough
this is a DATSUN list, but we are all enthusiasts but some people have lost
sight of the big picture. You need to look behind the badge on the grill,
for if you don't then you are missing out on alot.
I have owned only a few cars, (265 Charger, 2 RX4's, one with 13b Bridgeport
and 48mm weber, VH Group 3 Replica, XB 351 ute), But they all were modified
for increased performance. Each car was very different from the next but
there will always be something about each car that was unique and which I
miss. For those on the list who only think brand X car is best, then open
your eyes and experience something new.
And YES, I have a 1600. L20B, 5speed, cam, 45mm webers, caged, wheel disks
etc (for circuit racing). I havn't driven it yet, but I know as sure as hell
that when I do, there will be something that sets it apart from everything
else i have owned.
I don't mean to offend anyone, but the biggest thing about some petrol heads
that shits me is the fact that some of them will hate anything that doesn't
have the right badge on it. For no real reason at all.
I'm off my soap box now. Back to high speed stability.
As far as high speed stability goes, I had my RX4 coupe up to 230k's and it
felt fine.. (Long straight stretch of highway, good visibility and no other
cars)... Must be the shape..
What kind of rear wings are available for 1600's ? Any pictures of them on
the net?
