What is this rotarties aren't reliable stuff? Old wives tale if you ask me.
You can get an import S4/5 13B and it will be just as reliable as your
SR20DET. The thing about rotaries is that they need regular oil changes
(cheaper than a new engine) and need to be warmed up before driven hard.
This is because they have difference metals inside that expand at different
rates. My friend has a stock Rx7 12A and it has done 170k kms and at last
service they said it has another 100k kms left in it. This motor has been
religiously serviced and warmed up before usage, as all engines should be!
With only seven major moving parts there is a shitload LESS to go wrong with
them compared to piston engines.
