When I fitted a dogleg into my 510 all I did was re-position the crossmember
on the other set of threaded holes already present. (might have turned it
round...can't remember now) and put some 1/4 inch spacers between the
crossmember and the floor. The tailshaft fitted straight on. The reverse
light switch fouled the tunnel if I remember correctly. I could have got in
there with a big adjuster and set to on the body but instead I cut a hole
and put a rubber bung in it that cleared the switch.
