Um, if your battery is on  the way out, it will (obviously) not
crank as well, the battery only has to drop a couple of volts to
be no good for starting (to about 10 or 9 - running V is about
14 ), and even if the voltage reads as high, if the battery is
old, the current may be too low.
The best battery u can get is an odessey one - pricey but
failsafe (almost).
