I picked my car up from Maddat today after the exhaust had been fitted. All
I can say is that it's awesome!
Not as grunty as zac's 45mm weber/datrally L20b down low, but pulls very
smoothly and willingly (and quickly) right up to 6500rpm. Very pleasing for
a dead stock engine. Once I find somebody to scam a G-Tech off I'll record
some times. The gearbox has quite close 1-2-3 and tall 4-5, good city box.
Hmmm.... I seem to run out of speed limit before I run out of gears
unfortunately :)
It has a really strange run-on problem though, it won't die with the key
(even though the ign and computer get switched 12v!) but oddly enough it
will when you pull the handbrake in!! At least I'll never forget to put it
on he he he. Any suggestions? Some sniffing around with a multimeter will
unveil the problem I suspect.
Much cred to Errol of Datrats and Craig of Maddat for their superb service,
they both pretty much fell over themselves to help. A very, very happy
