I also agree with paul.
I am a mechanic, and I recently had a problem with my little brothers FJ20 Bluebird.
The thing wouldn't start at all. It didn't give any indication of starting. We checked everything, but couldn't work out what was wrong.
It had a good supply of fuel, it was sparking at the right time, it even had spark.
So we ended up replacing the plugs anyway, and it fired up first go.
Sometimes engines play funny games with the mind !!!
Give it a go !!!

I'm no mechanic (!!) but maybe the spark plug doesnt spark while under
compression...becauuse if it's spraying fuel in there you should at least
get the 'bang' even if something is afoul. I'd try cleaning the plugs or
replacing them...let me know if this is useless information because like I
said I'm no mechanic.
