Daniel,

I'm not sure than I agree that the same theory can be applied to the Z18,
because remember the CA is a 16 valve head and will flow much better at high
rpm, so I doubt we would get the same results with the 8 valve NAPS/Z heads
unfortunately

Again the white circuit racer (it must be my favourite Z18 car or something
:)- it produces peak power at 7000rpm with linished crank, stock rods, stock
rockers, 125lb springs..... (same bottom end as a L18) Whether or not you
want peak power at 7000rpm is another story hehe

I still reckon the roller bearing RB turbo would probably not be the best
bang for buck though. as it will cost a lot lot more than a older VG T3.
The r/b turbo is obviously better for the long run though so if you got the
cash then spend it for sure!!

We need somebody who has a stock cam and a Fury copy and before/after dyno
sheets hey :) Wade do a Fury copy so I might have to ring and ask their
opinion unless any other listers have some more info?

Anyway enough ranting from me :)

- Tom

The one off the RB25det is ball bearing from memory and according to the
zoom tests it spools up and is producing about 1 bar of pressure at about
5000rpm on the CA18det. The T3 however is non ball bearing and they reckon
that on the CA, the T3 starts to produce good power from 4000 rpm all the
way up to 8000rpm. If I'm not mistaken a standard z18et is only good up
until a bit over 6000. May have to invest in a turbo cam as well to make
use of this? Anyway that was my reasoning behind the one off the RB rather
than the T3 from the VG30det.
