Eddie,

Around 15wt motor cycle fork oil is pretty common for a fairly firm strut.

I was trying to remember what a 100A was called elsewhere - my first
thoughts were Cherry but I'm not sure.

regards
Terry

Subject: Shock oil

Hi all,

I have welded my threaded collars to my S12 struts and am ready to rebuild
them. Has any body any suggestions as to what oil I should refill the struts
with?

BTW.... Bernie (my girlfriend) has not so much as a bruise from rolling my
Datsun 100A! We got a crane to lift it out of the ditch but first had to
drag it about 10 meters along the ditch on it's roof to get it out from
under overhanging trees. I pumped the tyre up pushed the roof out and
despite laying upside down in a ditch all night it started first turn of the
key :-) Not a drop of oil had leaked out either! Later in the day after a
check over I was driving it around again. Even very small Datsuns are tough!
