Yeah, is was called the Cherry Coupe in Japan. They added the 120A badge to
the later Euro spec cars but the very first ones had "Cherry Deluxe" badges
on the sides. The gearbox is under the engine like a Mini but with it's own
oil rather than sharing the engine oil. The drop gears you mention usually
rattle at idle and whine when you are moving...actually sounds a bit like a
Mini. They have an A12... probably be pretty fast with an A14 or 15. They
are rare here these days...only eight or nine still on the road in the whole
country.
