Also check that the top bush hasn't worn allowing the star to come in contact
with the magnets or worse still the star actually move on the shaft (happened to
me on a holden).I went through all the checking on my datto last week and turned
out to be a coil.It started to backfire and would run on 2 cylinders etc.
