hi, on the main shaft you will see a reluctor ( it is actually a magnet) it
should have 4 points on it, and (one to fire each cylinder) there is a
small pickup that sits on the side of it. as each high point goes past the
pickup , each point as it goes past creates a small voltage which is sent
to trigger the module.
i thing yours might be a hall effect, or optical ignition, the hall effect
is nearly he same but it has a semiconductor that actually sends the out
put, as the magnet goes past, this type MIGHT be able to be slightly
modified to suit, will try and chek up on that later.
the reluctor has only two wires coming out of it.
maybe the reluctor setup froma sigma distributor could be fitted, if the
hole in the reluctor was too big, get a sleeve made up or if too small get
the shaft machined down.
