I'd have to agree with Errol.Garrett actually recomend a gentle taper from the
compressor outlet.They say it can increase compressor efficiency.You'll probably
notice that most factory installations incorperate this.On my FJ20 the comp
outlet was 1 7/8" ID so I tapered this out to 2 1/4" ID over 6" then to the
intercooler.From the intercooler I ran 2 1/2" ID to a 65mm throttle body.Seemed
to work ok.
