Fuel gauge works OK.
The temp. needle does not move in normal operation, when I ground the sender
wire the gauge goes Full Scale.
There is a fluctuating voltage in the circuit.
I have swapped the temp. sender with another B/Bird and a 200B one, no
change.
I cannot get Stanza ones out of their housings, so I cannot check against a
Stanza one.
I would also like to remove the Resistor Capacitor smoothing circuit in the
temperature sender to give more accurate temperature readings.
This is a good idea for a performance car as you can see the spikes and
fluctuations when you change the load on the engine.
Is it practical though?

There are a variety of different senders for the different breed gauges so
it doesn't surprise me that a Bluebird sender doesn't work with a Stanza.
I'm not all that up on Bluies but like Stanza they used at least two brands
of analogue gauges, (VDO and something else) so I'd say you have an
impedance mismatch. How's your fuel gauge as I think the Stanza uses a
regulator which go dodgy much the same as the Bluey.

I have a b/bird housing and sender, but it does not work with the Stanza
gauge.
The Stanza gauge seems to work with a pulsating voltage, rather than a
constant 12v. Or is there a problem with the Stanza electrics?
Everything worked before the swap.
