That sends shivers down my spine....
The engine(sr20det) I used in my 510 convo has got a slightly bent crank
pulley and the water pump was stuffed when I got it.
I've only put 500k's on it so far all seems to be ok except at start up from
cold in the morning the engine has some sort of very brief rattle (less than
a second), I dunno if it's the timing chain tensioner, hydraulic valve
followers or.....the mains starting to go. The engine has only done 60,000
so I didn't think it should make any noise. I will spew if the crank shaft
is bent, I've been putting it in the back of my mind but it's been eating
away at me.
I suppose worrying won't fix it.
