Terry and Adam,
I picked up some new RDA (Made in Japan) 240K 270mm disks from my local
autoshop for $80ea. DBA were a lot more expensive. With twin piston simitomo
calipers (see the following toyota posts as coronas are plentiful in
wrecking yards) and bendix ultimates $90 they work well on my race car. I
think they would be more than acceptable on a street 1600. They should swap
onto your 200B struts but beware of the lower control arm to disk and
caliper to steering arm clearances. I needed to file of a bit here and there
to make it all fit.
Regards
Trev

Subject: RE: 200B Vs 240K struts....
Adam,
If I had the choice with all things being equal and they were both available
at around the same $ I'd buy the 240K struts too, but I certainly wouldn't
go out of my way to replace a set of good 200B struts. The 240K are a
fraction shorter, something like .25" but if you use the 240K insulators you
can get ~.5" more but you have to slot the 1600 towers. Any brake that bolts
to one will bolt to the other and unless you can get the 270mm discs it's
not worth the hassle IMHO off course. Most 240K struts I've seen lately with
the big discs are so worn they were worth buying but you grab the callipers
though if they look half decent.
your choice?
regards
Terry

Subject: 200B Vs 240K struts....
Sorry for all the questions everyone...but I have bought some 200B struts
with discs and am wondering if i should get rid of these and go for a set of
240K struts as they seem to be the better choice of the two.
I basically would like to know your opinions on the two strut options.
cheers,
Adam
