Trevor,
They certainly were a work of art for there day.They werent that hard to rebuild
just time consuming.We had a dedicated workshop for these engines and all the
testing equipment which included a dyno cell just for these.As you can see by
the number of bolts used these had no gaskets and each component can be
indavidually tested.The cranks werent that difficult to phase unlike the
injectors.I forget the exact amount of parts but it was in the tens of thousands
for each engine.I had 3 teams of 5 people working on 3 engines at a time would
take 2-3 months at dockyard pace to rebuild and test.
