Andrew I have not had my car dynoed since the last engine mods Although
power is incredible it killed a 400hp nizmo spec clutch at the last race
weekend at bathurst :( Im aiming for 220-230 at the wheels it should make
around 200kw at the wheels with 15psi and will be interesting to see what
it has with upto 25psi and avgas. With my old turbo stock manifold cams
valves ect it made 170kw with 15psi so I hope Im not being too
optimistic. I have heard of 500hp at the flywheel for a ca18det lots of
money and around 30psi boost.
What mods where done to the CA18det in the hot fours mag?? I would say
mine is about as far as one could go without going huge cams and solid
lifters.
Mind you one good thing with my engine has been it has kept its
drivabilty. Its nice and smooth with great fuel economy and gob loads of
grunt. Its also very quite. Ill keep you posted with the outcomes early
next year Ill get it tuned take it for a blat down the quarter and lay a
bit of rubber on the highways:)
Cheers Andrew D
