I have 5/8" UNF Rosejoints on the lower arms on my 1600 rally car & have never had a problem with getting a warrant in NZ.
They with stood a 4 x rollover which bent tie rod ends & rear control arm & showed no signs of any damage. You would be supprised how strong a good quality rose joint is(emphasis on good quality). If you looked at most modern WRC cars all of them use rose joints for suspension adjustment. They do need regular maintenance with lubrication though or they will flog out. -- Ritchie Williams Manager - Design Technology Vertex Pacific Limited 696 Te Rapa Rd Private Bag HN3044 Hamilton New Zealand ph 64 7 8493 999 fax 64 7 8498 764 e-mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] Dan wrote: > Have to agree with that too, the rosejoints I've seen look very weak > and are hard to adjust plus they absorb a lot of stress when driving. > Malcolm, are you talking about replacing the T/C rod with the steering > linkage part?I'm not sure id adj. lower arms are legal here in NZ or > not, mine are lengthened but you can't really tell unless you look > very closely.
