There is no engine number check for pink slip!

I tried to do mine fair and square, I told the garage about the L20 and said that some
Stanzas came with it standard.
They said I technically had to get an Engineer's certificate, but that they didn't
need to check the engine number for a pink slip, so I should just say nothing and not
let the car get more than 3 months out of rego.

An engineer's certificate is not that expensive, I got one for another car for $100.
You really have to shop around though

What about the NSW guys running L20B's in 1600's and Stanza's? RTA says >15% increase in capacity needs a certificate, anyone gone through (or preferably around) this process? How do you get through rego with the different engine number? Cheers, Jim.
