Josh, I'm not saying you will (especially as I don't know the local scene in Vic) but here in the ACT you almost certainly will. Fully engineered cars are even the most difficult thing to re-register in your home state if you bought it registered interstate and with engineering papers. I know so many ppl who've had a nightmare with this and it's not only here. Try registering a Qld 1600 with a mod plate in NSW - usually ends in tears. There will of course exceptions, hopefully lots of them, I'm just saying expect grief when you transfer rego on a modified car from another state.
On the other hand, transferring rego even on highly modified engineered cars with your own state seems to be very straight forward in comparison, just pay the stamp duty etc. Re-registering a non plate modified car seems to be somewhere in the middle on the grief scale. regards, Terry -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]]On Behalf Of Josh Sent: Friday, 31 May 2002 1:55 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: 10% power rule So what if you bought a 1600 with an L20 in it and it had been registered (in Vic) but has run out of rego, will I have a problem when I go to re-register it????????
