I have tried adjusting the channels but it did nothing. Im thinking its
either the pressed pivot pin on the winder arm off the reulator as it has a bit
of play OR the pin that fixes the glass to the winder.

The window can be adjusted by altering the guide channels in the
door. Loosen the channel screws and slide sideways in the direction
opposite to that needed to align the window to the top chanel.
The problem of the window dropping may be either a sticky guide channel,
due to the mis alignment, or the channel across the base of the
glass that the winder is fitted to is loose, and the window
"falls" down to reconnect to the winder. (poor description - anyone do a
better one?)

Good morning list,
Hope everyone had a good weekend.
Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on a problem I
encountered on the weekend.
I was putting my door windows back into my 1600 - Problem is the
drivers door window - when you wind it up it goes crooked and doesn't seem
to seal at the top.
When you wind it down, it drops every now and then (only
slightly).
Would this be the result of a worn window regulator? - It seems
to be unbalanced to me.
Also, is it normal for the lower edge of the windows where it sits into
the channel, when fully up is exposed? I have not yet put the inner or outer
weather strips on but it doesn't look lik they will cover it. I site about
5mm above the top of the door.
