Very interesting Brad. How did you make the rear turrets, or did you cut
them out of some donor vehicle?

Cheers,

G'day mate,
I have fitted rear coil overs to two 1600's. One of them I used R31
semi trailing arms and standard crossmember and cut the rear shock
towers out and made proper strut turrets ala Z or BDA Escort.

The second one I cut and shut an R31 rear xmember and reinforced the
existing shock towers and integrated them into the rear legs of the
rollcage which gave a spaceframe strength to the cage. This conversion
was a lot of work but absolutely brilliant. Whilst I didn't have the
adjustibility of turret top plates the bonus of tying all suspension
points together with the cage made a big difference.

Interesting to note that both cars were crashed by the same idiot.
Anyone can buy a fast car not everyone can drive one.

My latest project I have a complete R32 GTR rear end to fit however CAMS
are out on that one. I even toyed with fitting the HICAS but rules and
regs won't allow that. Be interesting for a road racer.

Cheers mate
Brad
