You can still get them, I have bought two brass type floats over the past 3 years. Where are you located? I know S&D Tuning in Canberra has them, if you in Melbourne give John Lawson a call at Tayell Automotive 9579-5529 he might be able to help you. He's been rallying Datsuns since the 80's and still does.

Upon pulling apart the float bowl, one of the floats in the hitachi su style carbies on my 1600 was found to have numerous vertical cracks down its sides and was full of petrol! I've soldered up the cracks as a temporary fix but new floats would be preferable. Does anyone have any lying around?, and deos anybody know what might have caused the cracks? Thanks
