Same thing happened to my datto while i was driving home from work on friday - it had clutch fluid and all, but the clutch was light and i couldn't put it in gear while the car was running. I somehow got it into second and waited in a right hand turn lane for the traffic to go and then pulled into a side street. I had some loud noises from the thrust bearing that had been building up for a while, and it turned out my pressure plate was screwed. The actual clutch plate was also very thin, although it hadn't started to slip yet. So anyway i put another clutch in and she goes now, but this new pressure plate is much more weak than my old one (it does make it easier for my left leg though :))
