When I first got my 200B I pulled the gearbox out when I put in the motor
and the flywheel was badly burned in a tri formation like it had been
slipping at very high revs for a long time. Upon getting the motor going I
realised the clutch didnt actually engage even with the hydrolics working
and all. It turned out that someone who owned the car before me had lost
the original slave cylinder pin which you cant buy, and had replaced it with
a bolt that was about 5mm too long. As soon as the clutch plate wore down a
certain amount there was no more clutch and it appeared as though the clutch
had worn out when in actual fact it was the wrong length pin in it, which
would explain the burnt flywheel.
