The suspension height difference front to rear on a 1600 is 58mm (call it
60mm) and not 30mm as Whiteline suggest. Pete Liebig's sits at 320/290 and
has been measured at ~28mm nose down, dead flat with 290mm rear height is
actually 348mm at the front and I have pointed this out to Whiteline a
couple of times and they said that they were going to correct the website,
looks like not happening though. The back is marginal at 290mm as Cam says
plus clearance becomes an issue as well, especially with Skyline R31 rear
discs and stock offset wheels. You get used to the springs occasionally
being pushed sideways out of their seats when minor contact with the bumpers
happens, makes a nice thunk when they re-locate. The front depending on
which xmember you have is usually pretty good handling and little signs of
bump steer in the range of 320-350, 350mm does look sort of high to the
naked eye with 13" or 14" wheels. I've seen bump steer to be somewhat
marginal at 320mm especially in 71 & later cars.

Stock (used) 240K rear springs usually come in at around 300-310mm and ride
very nicely on the street.

regards
Terry

I hadn't read that article for awhile (eventhough) I have it on my web-site.

320 - 290 are nice numbers, BUT it only leaves 20mm rear wheel travel to
you're on the bumpstops, so they'd have to be modified. The other issue is
at 290 mm, you would have too much neg camber and positive toe unless you
had a modified rear crossmember (and they have gone to the trouble of
suggesting that shouldn't be done).

Cheers,
