Rick,

Rear driveline noise is inherent in a 1600 that's been modified - things
like lowering the suspension height below 300mm, nolathane bushings and it's
more than in the background with the rear seats removed etc. The stock
rubber stuff is very quiet running in comparison. I don't like to have loud
exhaust noise to drown it out as I'd rather listen to induction noise. I get
comments on how noisy my 1600 is all the time but 80% of it comes from under
the bonnet.

regards
Terry

Terry.
Have I been lucky with all my 1600's??
I have never had rear end noise in any of my 1600's.
My SSS doesn't even have a AM radio and I do not hear any noise from the
diff/driveshafts.
Later.
Rick White.
